The process of recreating these scents may be the most challenging olfactory puzzle out there: learning to blindly recognize and perfectly balance each and every element that makes these fragrances so extraordinary. This is the mission the company was founded on, and it’s been the pillar of our brand since the beginning. It’s likely that the first thing you heard about Dossier is that we replicate iconic designer fragrances, sold at prices people can actually afford without sacrificing the same luxury quality. ![]() Very cozy vibes.Change is in the air… Or is that just our new perfumes? I have sprayed it on my sheets though, and it's lovely to fall asleep to. I haven't sprayed it on myself because it's 80-90F here lately and the scent is very much fall/winter vibes. To my nose, the dupe smelled the same, even after dry down and developing time.ĮTA: I didn't assess the Replica because I don't have anything to compare it to. I will straight up just not buy Soleil Blanc. I will not be buying the Jo Malone again, I will buy the dupe. Being able to find an affordable version of the Jo Malone (which IMO is wildly overpriced given it's a cologne with minimal staying power) and Tom Ford (frankly the Private Label performance of his lighter scents is offensive given his price point) were really important to me. I am not a well-learned nose or anything, but they smell pretty bang on to me. I do find that they are good, especially at the price point. Since I didn't own the Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, I was only able to directly compare once, but again the smell was 95% on point, and the longevity was about the same. The initial spray of the Dossier Woody Sage didn't smell exactly like the Jo Malone WS&SS, but having used it multiple times now, the smell is spot on, 95% the same. Of those, I've compared the Dossier dupe to the Jo Malone (which I had a small travel spray of) and the Tom Ford Soleil Blanc (spritzed on my wrist in Sephora). I have 3 Dossier perfumes: the dupes of Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, and Maison Margiela Replica By the Fireplace.
